The recently published book (The New Constitution of the Syrian Arab Republic 2012) by researcher Mazen Youssef Sabbagh of Dar Al Sharq comes as a continuation of six books, which are closer to encyclopedic books, which Sabbagh works on as monitoring and documenting the history of the Syrian state since 1918.

وخلال التوثيق الجديد، يسلط الباحث الضوء على حيثيات الحالة الدستورية الجديدة، وذلك على خُطا التوثيق التأريخي لسورية الذي اشتغل عليه في كتبه السابقة الذكر، من دون أن يهمل الحالة الاجتماعية والثقافية والاقتصادية المحيطة لتلك الحالات الدستورية، والتي ربما كانت الباعث لكل هذا الحراك الدستوري منذ قرن من الزمان في العمل السياسي لسورية التي كانت ذات حين من الدهر سورية - بلاد الشام، قبل أن تنهال عليها سكاكين التقسيم، وذلك منذ بوادر الدولة السورية - الإقليم، وحتى بصيغتها القطرية اليوم.
