The recently published book (The New Constitution of the Syrian Arab Republic 2012) by researcher Mazen Youssef Sabbagh of Dar Al Sharq comes as a continuation of six books, which are closer to encyclopedic books, which Sabbagh works on as monitoring and documenting the history of the Syrian state since 1918.
The year of independence from the Ottoman occupation, and the hateful Ottoman Sultanate.
Sabbagh had published in this field: Record of Syrian Governments and Ministries 1918-2010, Record of Parliament and the People’s Assembly 1919-2011, Record of the Syrian Constitution 1920-1973, The Syrian Conference - Parliament of Independence for the Levant: Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon 1918-1933. And.. The Unity State - Egypt and Syria - The United Arab Republic 1958-1961.
The new book almost constitutes a diary of the establishment of the new constitution more than a year ago and.. until its recent promulgation. The researcher divided it into six chapters, during which he dealt with: words about the constitution, the new 2012 constitution with media titles, a table showing the new 2012 constitution and the 1973 constitution, articles The new, amended and reformulated articles, and.. the articles that have not changed, the comparative table between the effective constitution of 1973 and the constitution of 2012, and the fifth and sixth sections are devoted by the researcher to explain some terms and concepts, executive procedures, follow-up and announcement of the referendum
